Online events negate distance, they make it think in timezones, they make us very aware about the tiny rectangle of space behind us that we display to the world. Online events are instant, they’re accessible, they’re extremely odd, but sometimes, with the right architecture, they’re wonderful.
You don’t need to worry about hiring a venue (Sparkle Space is your venue). - You don’t need to worry about catering (meal vouchers can work wonders instead). There’s no worry about people being late from commuting (there’s no travel time at all). You don’t need to worry about finding the best performers in the local area (the world is our oyster).
